Through careful design we aim to make our products intuitive to use and with our custom ‘RotoDial’ controller all R4i functions can be easily controlled. Exclusively for R4i we've taken our RotoDial concept a stage further so it can be detached and also function as a fantastic hand held remote-control. With its tactile design, it sits comfortably in the hand and sitting on your coffee table it will be a guaranteed talking point.

R4i’s slot loading CD player plays standard music CDs and will also play CD-Rs encoded with WAV, MP3 or WMA music files. With the aid of a computer and suitable program, users can create MP3 playlists and record CDs that will play for many hours. As an alternative we’ve also included a USB port which plays back MP3 files downloaded onto USB type flash memory sticks.

On the front panel a headphone socket is provided along with a line input allowing easy connection of other audio devices. Like R2i headphone volume is ‘remembered’ independently from the main speaker volume. On the rear panel we’ve provided two pairs of high quality phono sockets. The first provides output for recording or hook-up to secondary systems and the second provides an additional input for the connection of a DVD/MP3 player, TV or suchlike.

Behind R4i’s RotoDial dock we’ve provided an integrated iPod Dock which supports and charges all iPod models produced from January 2004 to date. iPod Shuffle and other type MP3 players can be easily connected using either the front or rear auxiliary inputs.

From our years spent designing high-end loudspeakers we understand the importance of cabinet and drive unit design to create a good sound, free from colouration and distortion. The enclosure of R4i is hand-crafted from materials chosen for their exceptional acoustic properties and likewise our drive units are carefully designed and constructed to allow optimum dynamics with a smooth natural frequency response.
