The Harbeth P3ESR Mini Monitor.....Will Amaze!

Harbeth was founded more than 40 years ago to commercialise the BBC's pioneering research and development.Harbeth's engineers are experts at delivering a life-like sound with all the warmth,detail and realism of  "being there".Harbeth,through their engineering of speaker diaphragms have captured the "live" sound.

H.D.Harwood identified a new generation of plastic in the latter part of his career at the BBC.Dudley Harwood continued the legacy with the manufacture of the HL1 monitor in 1977.In 1995 Alan Shaw became involved and has continued at the helm,growing the loudspeaker manufacturing to where it is today.

The P3ESR is a very special Harbeth speaker.It was designed by Alan Shaw to replace the venerable LS3/5A location monitor of which Harbeth had a licence.It is a mini monitor that truly defines what a mini monitor can achieve.Harbeth combine a 19mm aluminium tweeter with a 125mm plastic cone woofer in a sealed cabinet with a complex crossover in order to achieve a truly amazing sound out of a small cabinet.

On listening there is a sense of amazement at the true-to-life sound and the bass extension out of such a small enclosure.And then there is the exquisite cabinetry....certainly a fine example of beautiful wood finishes.Stereophile,a famous hifi magazine,said of the Harbeth P3ESR in it's review....."I love the P3ESR.I think it's the best iteration yet from any manufacturer of the BBC LS3/5A mini-monitor concept."
