The Value Of A Quality Phono Preamplifier

The Value Of A Quality Phono Preamplifier

Whilst you can buy a phono pre-amplifier from a quite cheap $40 to $60 so that you can play records through your system you have to ask an important question.....do you really want the atmospheric sound of playing records or are you just wanting to misunderstand the vinyl revival and end up with not much better than MP3.Unfortunately it does cost about $120 to buy a decent phono pre-amplifier as you are trying to amplify a very small audio signal that needs to be amplified to the level of a line-level or CD level signal to be correctly amplified through your system.Brands like ProJect and Rega provide some great audio solutions to this audio question.

The ProJect Phono Box E is an excellent entry level solution, whilst the ProJect Record Box E will provide an extra feature of the USB connection to your computer that allows you to record your LP's.The Rega Fono Mini 2AD is also a special product to be considered to improve your record playing experience.Rated 5 out of 5 stars by the What HiFi Magazine review....and they say...."Great dynamics, punchy sound, cohesive, tonally cohesive, what's not to like?"

I guess what we are saying.....is if you want to get into the magic of playing records and experience what it can allow you to experience in the way of music....get a well designed turntable and a decent phono pre-amplifier....or you might miss the bus of what the treasures that vinyl can truly provide...it truly is a space that will change your life....if you allow it!
