2-way Bookshelf Loudspeaker Pair from Focal

The Aria Evo X N°1 2-way bookshelf speaker combines performance, quality materials and compactness. Measuring 39 cm in height, it fits easily into rooms such as an office or small living room, whether on a dedicated stand or not. With its exclusive Flax diaphragm and TAM tweeter, it promises renewed musical listening in the home.

RICH, NATURAL SOUND

The midrange/bass driver lets you appreciate all the qualities of the Flax membrane, an exclusive Focal technology made from French linen and the source of a natural, uncoloured sound. Thanks to the TAM tweeter, another innovation, the treble is precise and smooth.

FOCAL KNOW-HOW

From the manufacture of the loudspeakers to the design of the cabinet, Focal know-how is at work: TMD surround to stabilise the moving diaphragm, a special plate around the tweeter for a better sound image, and non-parallel cabinet walls to eliminate vibrations.

STUNNING DESIGN

The loudspeaker can be placed directly where you want it, or on a dedicated stand (optional). Its elegant finishes (Black High Gloss, Prime Walnut and Moss Green High Gloss) combine with a leather-effect front panel for a refined aesthetic signature.

TMD suspension. Stabilised Suspension. Eliminated Vibrations

While Focal's engineers are experts in developing exclusive cones, they also innovate for all the elements that make up speakers, including the suspension that connects the cone to the chassis and whose performance is essential to control.
 
Created in 2015, TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology with harmonic damping consists of the addition of finely positioned toroidal weights, allowing the suspension to be stabilised for ever greater sound neutrality. This technology enhances the midrange and the erratic behaviour of the suspension between 1kHz and 2KHz.

Flax Membrane. Sound Purity and Precision

The centrepiece of a loudspeaker, the cone is at the heart of the acoustic engineers' research. After more than five years of research and development, Focal unveiled an exclusive cone made of flax in 2013.
 
This patented Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high-quality French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of fibreglass. It meets all the criteria of a high-fidelity cone: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass, and damping to deliver a neutral, natural sound, without coloration. It is an iconic Focal innovation in many hi-fi products.

Tam tweeter. Wide diffusion angle

The shape and materials of the cones are essential for high-fidelity reproduction. Focal engineers designed the TAM tweeter. Made in their French workshops, its a stand out for its many advantages, particularly in terms of wide-angle diffusion. The composition of an aluminium/magnesium inverted dome cone with an "M" profile for even greater rigidity, it reproduces flawless harmonic balance and detailed treble.
 
The presence of a decompression chamber limits disturbances due to rear waves, for even greater sound clarity.
